As far as I can tell, the only way _tkerror can discard an
error is if it happens in an event-driven way (fired as a
-command, from a binding, or from "after") and the code in
question is pure tcl code.

So, for instance, in
    b = Button(command = lambda: 1/0)
the error is reported by
Tkinter.Tk.report_callback_exception.  So is
