I wasn't sure if tests pass or not on OpenSSL 1.1.0. My colleague Miro checked: the full Python 3.5 test suite pass on Fedora 28 with OpenSSL 1.1.0.

python35 is linked to OpenSSL 1.1.0 on Fedora 28:
