It may be openssl 1.1.1a specific.
I don't understand most of what they say,
but the changelog (to 1.1.1b) 'looks' suspicious.

...Actually Archlinux updated openssl to 1.1.1b about 4 days ago,
so I can 'test' 1.1.1b.
But which means I may not be able to reproduce the fail after that.
