The problem with the current text is 'such as', implying that there are other unlisted items that could have (should have?) been added to make the list complete. If the list is complete, 'such as' could just be removed. If a sentence were added, I would simplify it to
"It does not replace os.exec*." or perhaps "os.fork and os.exec*.".
