Ah OK :) I had done a W10 reset to wipe my PC before reinstalling VS so I could't imagine where else the python registry keys could have come from.

My install sequence was:

SQL Server 2012 Developer
Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition
Office 365
Inkscape - maybe??
Then Python 2.7.11
