I downloaded and tested the tcl83.dll from www.tcl.tk with 
Python 2.2.1 on Win98SE using my BugDemo.py script 
from a related bug report [231207]. Several test runs 
showed that a problem still exists. The app hangs until 
Winopldapp is killed, however this leaves tcl83.dll in use. 
The problem does not occur on every execution. Some 
types of activity seem to provoke the hang, for instance, 
minimizing and maximizing the window seems to increase 
the change that it will hang on exit.
