Built a Python 2.3b2 candidate with Tcl/Tk 8.4.3 and the 
original problem is still there on Win98SE, although it seems to 
be harder to provoke now.  First attempt failed after 40 tries, 
the second attempt on the 23rd.  Same stuff:  frozen DOS 
box, Winoldap can be killed via the Task Manager then, 
python23.dll remains in use and can't be freed again, etc.

So I'm closing this bug as hopeless (Won't Fix).  I expect the 
last Win9x user will die before it's really fixed <0.5 wink>.
