Please cherry-pick 52ab9e1ff46a to roll back the zipimport brokenness.
This is the change that fixes issue20621 which is causing a rapid 3.3.5 brown bag release.

Okay.

I'm holding off a couple days just to get all the requests lined up, so I can apply them in chronological order--that'll cut down on the conflicts.
