Hi All,
   On mips64 biit machine running linux I have installed python2.4_2.4.4 from link "http://archive.debian.net/etch/python2.4" using below commands:

./configure –enable-shared
make
make install  

But make test fails with bus error, below is the log for same:

Python 2.4 is no longer maintained.
