It says: "To debug a leaking program call
gc.set_debug(gc.DEBUG_LEAK)."

I added this call, found the leak, fixed it, and
watched the memory consumption - argh.

Please add a warning sentence like: "Note: this will
stop freeing the collected memory."

Thanks for the report. Fixed in libgc.tex 1.17 and 1.15.4.2.
